Greet The Day was the idea of Scott Duncan of Spa Gregorie’s Day Spa in Newport Beach, California. Inspired by a program offered by Dr. Stephen M. Krant from SK Clinic in La Jolla, Scott had a desire to start an outreach organization to help people within the cancer community. Read more

2007 to 2023 GTD’s oncology education was offered at no charge for Spag’s. In lieu of this free education Spag’s who were financially able to signed up for the Coffee Cup Program which was a monthly donation program equal to the cost of a couple of cups of fancy coffee. GTD is a nonprofit organization so donations are tax deductible.

Covid was a challenge for everyone’s paycheck and in 2020 when the Coffee Cup program went on pause GTD continued to offer free education for Spag’s.

Starting in 2024 the Spag education program fee is $250. The standard cost of the Foundation education program is $545. 

1. Complete the online registration form and add SPAG to your “certificate name” on the form, and your registration will be processed as such.

2. Process your class fee payment through the Donate to GTD PayPal link.

3. If class days are Spag work days for you be sure to arrange coverage for your shifts.

It is not possible to work as a spa therapist and not be working with oncology clients. Cancer.gov/statfacts

Spag program space is limited to two therapists per program. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. If multiple applications are received for the same program allocation is based on timing and seniority.
