Johnnette du Rand
LMT, LE, MLD
A Greet The Day founding director, Johnnette has been part of Greet The Day’s education and patient service program development since 2003.
She was recognized for her work the field of oncology massage in the clinical setting with a 2008 award from the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation, and accepted the Distinguished Service Award on behalf of Greet The Day from the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California Irvine, in 2013.
Johnnette works with cancer centers in southern California and further afield, in implementing in- and outpatient oncology massage programs. She is a Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) Charter Member, and former board member for S4OM and the International Society of Oncology Estheticians. Her professional practice includes adult and pediatric in/outpatient, end of life, and spa.

Karey Hazewinkel York
LMT, LE, MLD
A licensed esthetician, massage therapist, MLD therapist and spa consultant with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and gerontology, Karey runs a program at the Hoag Family Cancer Center providing support to patients focusing on skin changes during and after cancer treatment.
Being a breast cancer survivor herself, she is keenly aware of the importance of assisting all patients in feeling more comfortable with this new part of their life.

Lori Clark Collins
LMT, NCBTMB
Lori Clark Collins has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998, and since 2014 the Integrative Services Coordinator for OjaiCARES, a non-profit cancer resource center that provides services and support to people affected by cancer in Ojai, California and the surrounding area.
She has experience working in hospice, hospital, and spa settings, and maintains her private practice in Ojai California. Lori is passionate about helping improve quality of life and the experience of treatment for people living with cancer, and sharing the education of oncology massage with other therapists, community members and medical staff.

Sarah Hoeven
LMT, BCTMB, MLD, S4OM
Sarah Hoeven has experience as an educator in the clinical and corporate environments. She has provided education and training facilitation since 1993, working specifically with oncology and medically sensitive education since 2008.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Sarah holds two bachelors of art degrees. She has experience working in multiple environments including hospital and medical environments.
Sarah was one of the first Lead Therapists for GTD’s Chemo Comfort Touch program, mentoring therapists to best practice in multiple infusion centers. She also teaches a Care Giver’s class believing that comfort touch allows both the giver and receiver to feel better.

Miechelle Juul Hwang
LMT, CDT, NCBTMB
Almost 90% of my private practice is focused on oncology massage for cancer survivors still in treatment and long term survivors with a history of cancer treatment. I also provide Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to treat Lymphatic conditions such as lymphedema and lipedema.
As the owner/sole practitioner in addition to providing massage, MLD and CDT, I am also responsible for daily operation, marketing and social media presence of Nordic House Spa.

Lora Goodrich
LMT, MLD, S4OM
Lora is passionate about meeting people where they are along their journey in life and helping them through massage therapy. She studied massage therapy at National Holistic Institute earning her designation as a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist.
She continued her education in oncology massage and to become a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. Lora always thought she would serve the massage profession in a luxury spa but is following her calling to serve by seeing private clients and providing a wide variety of modalities to help promote both physical and mental wellness.
Lora is looking forward to continuing her work with survivors in her practice, and starting her work in infusion center care. She is honored to be a part of our journey in learning how to care for survivors.
