Objectives

Improve quality of life for people in cancer treatment, recovery, and survivorship. Assist touch practitioners in providing safe and therapeutic massage and bodywork. Support the continued integration of holistic health practices, in particular massage and bodywork, in the conventional cancer care treatment model.

Values

Oncology Massage Therapy should be available to all people affected by cancer without regard to age, gender, ethnicity, language or income. People desiring Oncology Massage Therapy should be free of concern of developing lymphedema or other complications from untrained touch practitioners.

Vision

Facilitate national incorporation of Oncology Massage Therapy as the accepted norm within the Infusion Center treatment model. Create a cornerstone organization in the development of Oncology Massage therapist education, community service programs, and integrative clinical care.
