Greet The Day

The Science and Art of Touch

Restorative Yoga

Whether you are a weekend warrior athlete, office worker, accomplished yoga fundi, or in the midst of cancer treatment or recovery, Restorative Yoga is beneficial at any age and at all levels of fitness and flexibility.

Working Together

2011 Restorative Dates

Restorative Yoga programs offered at Yoga Shakti and Soul At Home provide a dual opportunity to nuture well-being; your own through participation, and knowing that your contribution will do the same for someone in cancer treatment.

All proceeds raised from these events will be used to provide program support for Greet The Day. Funds will specifically be used to provide oncology massage and restorative touch for people in active cancer treatment or recent recovery.

 Useful Information

Positioning is a Question of Comfort

During Restorative Yoga props like bolsters, blankets, pillows and towels are used to support the body in comfortable postures that provide gentle, safe, and low-demand yet very effective opening for the body and calming for the mind. You will learn how to find positions uniquely comfortable for you, and use body and breath to unwind, relax and de-stress.

Benefits of Restorative Yoga

The nurturing and supportive body postures enable one to maintain stillness and find balance, so that muscles relax, unwind, and lengthen. Focusing on breath and body, participants are guided to witness their own stillness.

If you would like to be kept advised when future dates are posted, or would like to host a Restorative Yoga event, please let us know.

All contributions are very appreciated. Donation suggested, although not restricted to $25
