Oncology Massage Workshop THIRD Day
The GTD oncology massage foundation program has been reformatted to complete the S4OM (Society for Oncology Massage) required 24-hours of oncology massage basic preparation within a 3-day format.
The format and timeline of Day 1 and 2 remain the same. Day 3 focuses on providing a full body, oncology massage and bodywork session, for a client volunteer in cancer treatment or recovery.
About the 2-day workshop
Up until the end of 2011, GTD offered the required 24-hours in two program segments. The initial 2-day Workshop, followed by a 2-day Practicum onsite in a chemotherapy infusion center. Although this format worked well, enabling therapists to work with several clients in current cancer treatment in an infusion center setting, it also meant that not everyone completed the S4OM required basic 24-hours of oncology massage preparation. Therefore, and in order to support the training standards endorsed by S4OM, the GTD oncology massage foundation program has been reformatted so that participants complete the required 24-hours over a consecutive 3-day period.
14 CE Hours / 1.5 days $75 and requires early enrollment

About the workshop THIRD Day
The format and timeline of Day 1 and 2 remain the same. Day 3 focuses on providing a full body, oncology massage and bodywork session, for a client volunteer in cancer treatment or recovery. To support the interests of therapist who have already completed the 2-day workshop, past workshop participants have the option of enrolling for the Day 3 experience.
This course only open to participants who have completed the 2-day oncology massage workshop. Please see EDU Policies for information about early enrollment benefits, cancellation policy, and credit card processing information.
To facilitate smooth integration into an already “underway” workshop, therapists that want to participate in the THIRD will need to join the workshop during the Day 2 lunch time (1pm), stay for the lymphedema protocols reviewed until close of class that day, and then join the workshop for the full 3rd day.
Space is limited and is restricted to six therapists per program. To ensure we have sufficient client volunteers, enrollment is required at least 10 days prior to program commencement.
